The vision of Your Signature Events began when my Sister needed assistance with her wedding. She didn’t have a clue on where to start or how to start. With a 10 year background in Engineering Graphic Design, I reached out and told her I wanted to take on the task. Finally my sister’s wedding day came and things went wrong but things also went right as well. The entire day was a “rush”. I loved it and wanted to experience that “rush” again and again. Although I was exhausted, the satisfaction that my sister was happy, made all of planning, rushing, and things going wrong all worth it. So fast forward 1-1/2 years after her wedding and a few parties later, Your Signature Events was established in October of 2011. We started with just 1 person. A long time friend of mine (Shandreka Starks). We started the company together and it took off from there. The vision of Your Signature Events became clear in 2012 that we wanted to be here and needed to be here. I wanted to be one of the best Event Planners and Event Designers that Charleston had to offer. I wanted to build a company where a bride or party Celebrant could come in and get everything they needed from One company. I wanted to build a company where you didnt feel like you were just talking to hired help, but talking to a friend who understood you. Your Signature Events becomes a part of your extended family. So with this gift that God has blessed me with, I want to share to the world my company, my family, my baby, Your Signature Events by Michelle Summers.
